Ridiculous Home Depot (H) CEO golden parachute
<Rant>What the heck is wrong with this picture? A CEO did nothing to improve his company’s bottom line for years and was eventually pushed out. On his way out the door, he is awarded over $200 million. This is corporate America at its worse, folks. Talk about being out of touch! Get this; the total package is seven times the $30 million Home Depot set aside last June for stores and employees that provide good customer service. Home Depot has 2,127 stores and 355,000 employees in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China. Are you sick as I am? The new corporate tag line for Home Depot (H) should be “You can do it, now bend over!”.
I despise these bastards! Chances are these are they same corporate a-holes that consistent lobby against increasing the Federal minimum wage because paying their employees a few cent more an hour (so they can feed their family) will cut into their bonuses. Once again, the message from the top is clear, always look out for number one. What’s more sickening is there are cases such as this throughout corporate America. There are too many to mention. One report I recall says CEO makes about 1400x that of a regular employee. Yes, that is one thousand and four hundred times more than the rank and file. I realize the world isn’t fair, but dang! Don’t these a-holes have any shame?</end rant>
The only good thing from this is Home Depot’s stock is up because this fool has been fired! Perhaps now we'll see some positive changes. We can only hope!
